Thor: Ragnarok director promises DVD of Chris Hemsworth with his top off

Now there’s an idea we can get behind.

Any fan of Marvel’s smash hit Thor movies will know that Chris Hemsworth is often unclothed – they’re the best parts, obviously – and it looks like we might be in for more of that than ever before.

Ahead of the release of Thor: Ragnarok, the third flick in the big-screen series, director Taiki Waititi has revealed that he made sure Hemsworth would appear sans shirt for a gratuitously extended scene.

But that’s not what the Hemsworth brother expected.

“This time around, there wasn’t [a shirtless scene] in the script, and I was like, ‘Thank God’,” Chris told Yahoo Entertainment.

“And then Taiki came up to me and said, ‘Ah, I feel like we got to put it in there. Come on, let’s be gratuitous and see some skin’.”

But that’s not all, as Taiki directly addressed Thor’s thirsty fans by teasing a DVD consisting of nothing but shirtless shots of Chris.

“On the DVD you can expect an extra DVD of just that,” he said. “An entire disc. Four hours of him. Slow motion, black and white, black and chrome, full colour, Imax version, iPhone version.”

We’re going to hold you to that promise, Taiki.
